The State Health Commissioner, Dr Rafiu Isamotu, announced this in a statement on Saturday night, taking the total reported cases to 32 in the state.
He said the 12 new cases were registered in the state’s areas of Osogbo, Ife, Ede and Ikire and were among the results of the newly conducted tests.
According to him, 19 recoveries were made in the state while 13 active patients are undergoing care in the state isolation facility at the moment.
The commissioner urged state residents not to panic but should continue to abide by the government’s stay-at-home order, maintain social distance and follow all precautionary measures to curb disease spread.
